Gossip Girl is an American drama television series based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007. On February 24, 2009 The CW renewed the show for a third season. Narrated by the omniscient yet unseen blogger “Gossip Girl”, voiced by Kristen Bell, the series revolves around the lives of privileged teenagers attending an elite private school in New York City’s Upper East Side.

The series begins with the return of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) from a mysterious stay at a boarding school in Connecticut. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), who creators describe as the queen at the center of their chess game,  is a longtime friend and occasional rival of Serena’s, and the Queen Bee of Manhattan’s social scene. The story also follows Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), the resident bad boy of the Upper East Side and boyfriend of Blair Waldorf, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck’s best friend, and certain outsiders who become part of the turbulent Manhattan scene: Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), Nate’s friend and Serena’s on-again, off-again ex; Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), Dan’s best friend; and his ambitious sister Jenny (Taylor Momsen).

Friends (sometimes stylized F•R•I•E•N•D•S in production and promotional material) is an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which premiered on NBC on September 22, 1994. The series revolved around a group of friends in the area of Manhattan, New York City, who occasionally live together and share living expenses. The series was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The original executive producers were Crane, Kauffman and Kevin Bright, with numerous others being promoted in later seasons.

Kauffman and Crane began developing Friends under the title Insomnia Cafe in November 1993. They presented the idea to Bright, with whom they had previously worked, and together they pitched a seven-page treatment of the series to NBC. After several script rewrites and changes, the series was finally named Friends and premiered on NBC’s coveted Thursday 8:30 pm timeslot. Filming for the series took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California in front of a live audience. After ten seasons on the network, the series finale was promoted by NBC, and viewing parties were organized around the US. The finale, which first aired on May 6, 2004, was watched by 52.5 million American viewers, making it the fourth most-watched series finale in television history.

Friends received positive reviews throughout its run, and became one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. The series won many awards and was nominated for 63 Primetime Emmy Awards. The series was also very successful in the ratings, consistently ranking in the top ten in the final primetime ratings. Friends has made a large cultural impact. The Central Perk coffee house that had featured prominently in the series has inspired various imitations throughout the world. Repeats of the series continue to air worldwide, and all seasons have been released on DVD. Following the series finale, the spin-off series Joey was created.

Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The series tells the stories of ordinary people who discover superhuman abilities, and how these abilities take effect in the character’s lives. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc.The series is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions, and it is filmed primarily in Los Angeles, California.

Three complete seasons have aired, and the fourth premiered on September 21, 2009. The critically acclaimed first season’s run of 23 episodes garnered an average of 14.3 million viewers in the United States, receiving the highest rating for any NBC drama premiere in five years.The second season of Heroes attracted an average of 13.1 million viewers in the U.S., and marked NBC’s sole series among the top 20 ranked programs in total viewership for the 2007–2008 season. Heroes has garnered a number of awards and nominations, including Primetime Emmy awards, Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards and British Academy Television Awards.

A digital-internet extension of the series, Heroes 360 Experience, later rebranded as Heroes Evolutions, was created to explore the Heroes universe and provides insight into the show’s mythology. Other official Heroes media include magazines, action figures, tie-in and interactive websites, a mobile game, a novel, clothing and other merchandise. In the fall of 2008, NBC Digital Entertainment released a series of online content for the summer, including more original web content, wireless I TV interactivity, graphic novels available for mobile viewing and webisodes.

House, also known as House, M.D., is an American television medical drama that debuted on the Fox network on November 16, 2004. The program was co-created by David Shore and Paul Attanasio; Fox officially credits Shore as creator. The show’s central character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), an unconventional medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton‑Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The character has similarities to Sherlock Holmes: both are forensic geniuses, musicians, drug users, aloof, and largely friendless. The show’s premise originated with Attanasio, while Shore was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character. The show’s executive producers include Shore, Attanasio, Attanasio’s business partner Katie Jacobs, and film director Bryan Singer. It is largely filmed in Century City.

Dr. House often clashes with his boss, hospital administrator and Dean of Medicine Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), and his diagnostic team, because many of his hypotheses about patients’ illnesses are based on subtle or controversial insights. House’s only true friend is Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), head of the Department of Oncology. During the first three seasons House’s diagnostic team consists of Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), and Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps). At the end of the third season, this team disbands. Rejoined by Foreman, House gradually selects three new team members: Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley (Olivia Wilde), Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), and Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn). Along with Foreman, the other members of the original team still appear in different roles at the hospital; Kutner was written out of the series toward the end of season 5.

House is critically acclaimed and has high viewership ratings. It was among the top ten rated shows in the United States from its second through its fourth season; in the 2008–09 season, it fell to nineteenth overall. Distributed to 66 countries, House was the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received several awards, including a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Primetime Emmy Awards. House‘s sixth season, in progress, began with a two-hour premiere on September 21, 2009.
